Serious or minor postoperative problems

In older children or adults, serious symptoms may include:

  • Having shaking chills.
  • Not being able to drink, so you urinate less.
  • Finding it hard to do daily activities.

In younger children, serious symptoms may include:

  • Having shaking chills.
  • Crying more than usual or crying with a different type of cry than usual.
  • Sleeping more.
  • Not eating or drinking, so the child urinates less.

Minor symptoms may include itching or mild redness in the surgery area.
